Discipline Policies

Electronic Device Policy

Personal electronic devices must remain off and in lockers during the school day.

Personal electronic devices include, but are not limited to, smartphones, tablets, laptops, smartwatches, headphones, cameras, and other devices capable of electronic communication, recording, or media consumption.

1st Offense The device will be confiscated and returned to the parent/guardian at the end of the day.
2nd Offense The device will be confiscated and returned to the parent/guardian at the end of the day. The student will serve one detention.
3rd Offense The device will be confiscated and returned to the parent/guardian at the end of the day. The student will serve two detentions.
4th Offense The device will be confiscated and returned to the parent/guardian at the end of the day. The student will serve Saturday school.
Students who repetitively use their electronic devices inappropriately at school are subject to losing their privileges for a length of time to be determined by school administrators 

 

 

 

Tardy Policy

  • Students who ride the bus are not tardy, no matter how late the bus arrives at school. Students who arrive late due to the bus must sign in at the main office with the receptionist so their absence can be corrected.
  • All tardy students, upon arriving at school, must sign in at the main office with the receptionist.
  • Documented medical or dental appointments are considered excused and will not count against the student for final exams. These excuses must come from the medical office at which you received services. Written notes/doctors notes will not be accepted for excuses after 10 days of student’s return.
  • Dental notes only excuse the student for half of the school day.
  • Students must be present for half of the school day to participate in after school activities that day.

2nd Tardy Parent/Guardian Contact (email, phone call home)
3rd Tardy Parent/Guardian Contact (email, phone call home)
4th Tardy Lunch Detention
5th Tardy Lunch Detention
6th Tardy After-school Detention
7th Tardy Administrative write-up with an assignment to 1 day of Saturday school.
8th Tardy Administrative write-up with an assignment to 1 day of isolation.
9th Tardy Referral to the Attendance Review Team.
